Gackt's highly anticipated second single of 2007, heavy rock number Returner - Yami no Shyuen ("Returner - End of Darkness") is the image theme of NHK's grand period drama Furin Kazan ("Kazabayasi Volcano"). As a first for the singer, Gackt himself appears in the Taiga drama as the "Dragon of Echigo" Nagao Kagetora, a Warring States period warlord famed for his military and martial arts prowess and rivalry with Takeda Shingen. As side tracks, the release also contains live versions of two classic Gackt songs, Cube and birdcage.

The Limited Edition comes with a DVD with the music video for Returner - Yami no Shyuen.
